The West Bengal Madhyamik Pariksha 2026 results have been declared, and the topper list has once again highlighted a highly competitive academic battle, where top ranks are separated by just a few marks. While the overall pass percentage remains steady at around 86.83%, the merit chart shows intense clustering at the very top. This year, Abhiroop Bhadra from Uttar Dinajpur has emerged as the overall state topper, securing a near-perfect score in the upper 690s range. His performance has placed him at Rank 1 in a closely fought merit list that reflects strong competition across districts. What stands out in 2026 is the extremely narrow margin among top scorers. Most of the Rank 1 to Rank 10 candidates are clustered within a small band of marks, roughly between 688 and 698, showing how even one or two marks have significantly altered rankings this year.
