The movie opened with 12.25 crore, and recorded over 55 per cent growth on its second day 2 of release. The trade reports indicate that on day 2, with a collection of Rs close to Rs 20 crore, the tally has been pushed over Rs 40 crore gross in India. On a worldwide scale, the film has collected Rs 60 crore gross, according to Sacnilk. Directed by Priyadarshan, ‘Bhooth Bangla’ minted Rs 3.50 crore net from paid previews. Thereafter, the day 1 collection of Rs 12.25 crore was added to the tally, bringing the total to Rs 15.75 crore. On day 2, Saturday, the movie earned Rs 19 crore net, pushing the tally to Rs 35 crore net in the domestic market.
