JEE Main 2026 Session 2 answer key: National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to release the JEE (Main) 2026 Session 2 provisional answer key tomorrow i.e., April 11, 2026, through candidate login, following the completion of the Computer-Based Test conducted across India and abroad between 02 and 08 April 2026. The release comes after question papers were already made available in the public domain for candidate review.The examination was conducted across multiple shifts at centres in India and 14 cities abroad, with participation from over 11 lakh candidates across Paper 1 and Paper 2. Candidates are now awaiting the next stage of the evaluation process, which includes the provisional answer key, recorded response sheets, objection window, and eventual result declaration.Examination conducted across India and abroadJEE (Main) 2026 Session 2 was held in Computer-Based Test mode at approximately 566 centres across 304 cities in India and international locations. Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech.) recorded around 11.06 lakh domestic registrations and 4,229 international candidates, while Paper 2 (B.Arch./B.Planning) recorded 54,953 domestic and 270 international registrations.Attendance levels remained high for Paper 1 at around 93 per cent, while Paper 2 recorded approximately 73 per cent attendance. Following candidate representations, the portal was reopened on 12 and 13 March 2026 to accommodate pending submissions.Admit cards were issued in phases on 29 March 2026 and 01 April 2026, enabling candidates to appear for the examination across scheduled shifts from 02 April to 08 April 2026.Operational arrangements and exam conductNTA ensured smooth conduct of the examination through coordinated planning with central and state authorities, use of digital systems, and deployment of examination functionaries across centres. The exam maintained uniform difficulty standards across all shifts.Special arrangements were made for candidates affected by disruptions in certain Middle Eastern regions, with rescheduling and relocation support facilitated through Indian missions abroad. In Riyadh, due to a power disruption on 05 April 2026, the examination was rescheduled and conducted on 06 and 08 April 2026.In Manipur, despite internet restrictions and local challenges, the examination was conducted smoothly with administrative support. Coordination with CBSE also ensured no scheduling overlap with Class XII board examinations.Question paper and answer key timelineThe question papers for all shifts were released on 09 April 2026 through candidate login access for transparency and review purposes.The provisional answer key for Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech.), along with recorded response sheets, is expected to be released on 11 April 2026. Candidates will be allowed to challenge the answer key through an online mechanism within the stipulated window on payment of a non-refundable fee of INR 200 per question.Result declaration and evaluation processThe results of JEE (Main) 2026 Session 2 for Paper 1 are likely to be declared by 20 April 2026.
