Actress Meena’s Chennai home has become the talk of social media after reports claimed it was sold for a staggering Rs 100 crore. Reports say the property, built in traditional Kerala style at an approximate cost of Rs 10 crore nearly 20 years ago, was reportedly purchased by an NRI couple from the United States. Meena has not issued any statement on the matter, nor is there confirmation on her social media pages.
As reported by Manorama Online, the house, where Meena lived with husband Sagar and daughter Nainika, features Kerala-style architecture with intricate wooden pillars, a spacious courtyard, palace-like design, and traditional Thanjavur artworks. Meena’s mother Raj Mallika, originally from Kannur, played a key role in the design.According to circulating reports on X and some Tamil media outlets, the home sold for Rs 100 crore to an NRI couple who liked the property. However, neither Meena nor her family has confirmed or denied the reports so far.
Meena has previously spoken about her discomfort with false rumours affecting her family. In a February interview with Galatta Tamil, she said, “People continue to discuss my so-called second marriage, and it’s completely unacceptable. Those spreading these rumours forget that I have a daughter, and they don’t realise she sees all of this too.”She added, “I am ignoring all of them now, but I cannot say when my patience will run out.” The actress expressed frustration over people assuming they can write anything about women in the entertainment industry.
Meena will be seen in the most-awaited upcoming thriller ‘Drishyam 3’, starring Mohanlal, confirmed to release in theatres worldwide on May 21, 2026.DISCLAIMER: Figures presented in this article are derived from various public sources and are considered approximate unless explicitly noted.
