As per the official guidelines by the National Testing Agency for NEET UG, the dress code is kept simple to ensure smooth frisking and avoid delays at exam centres. According to the guidelines:
Apart from the NTA guideline, there are other basic things too students should take care of. Students should avoid wearing jewellery such as rings, chains, earrings, or bracelets. Even if some general items seem allowed, different centres may have stricter checks. It is best to carry only what is essential and avoid arguments at the centre to stay calm and focused on the exam.It is better to use the washroom before the exam begins, as movement during the paper may not be allowed. Since many centres may not have proper cooling, carrying a handkerchief can also help.It is also good to be accompanied by a parent or friend who can keeps personal belongings like mobile phones outside. Finally, candidates should sleep well before the exam day and reach the centre on time. The reporting time is between 11 am and 1.30 pm, and no entry will be allowed after that. Students should keep extra time for traffic or weather-related delays and reach the centre early.The NTA has also warned that some exam centres may be incorrectly mapped on online platforms.
